Letter from my Kempton
(written about how he felt before I spoke and explained to him what was happening with me, to a mother who did not understand why her child was acting out)
Hello,
I am Kempton, Melody’s son and I am writing
this to talk to you about how your
son feels.
When my Mom was going through this I felt sad because she couldn’t play
around much, I was scared she would die. Those could be some things your son is
feeling.
Melody has told me your son has started to swear and you don’t know why,
he is just expressing how he is feeling about your fibro like I expressed my
feelings about my Mom’s fibro by giving her hugs, helping her as much as I
could, talk to her and kept her company.
Something you could do to make your son feel better if talk to him and
tell him you and you`ll be fine (if you haven`t done that but if you have just
talk to him about other things), and maybe you and him can have a Mom and son
day or play a board game.
Sincerely,
Kempton
